The Global Medical Device Nomenclature (GMDN) is now “very slick” and highly relevant in the context of the European Unions’ Medical Device Directives and the regulations that will soon replace them, says the agency’s new chair. Medtech Insight sat down with John Wilkinson just before he took the hotseat for the agency to hear how the GMDN is reaching critical mass and the exciting potential it holds for pinpointing the real value of devices.
